Recent times have shown us that this is a uniqueness & magic to small ‘micro’ weddings & I LOVE how couples have embraced it.
With a focus on connection & a celebration with the most important people in your lives, for the right couple a small, intimate wedding is the perfect choice.
Small Weddings give you the freedom to follow your heart, throw the rule book out the window and focus on the moments that matter the most to you.
If I am honest with you, I don’t like the term ‘Micro’ wedding. Micro implies it is small, insignificant but there is nothing little or small about getting married.
Getting married is BIG, MONUMENTAL, REMARKABLE & really bloody IMPORTANT!
The opportunity to stand up and declare your love, to declare ‘this is us’ for the rest of time is magic.
It doesn’t matter if it’s just you two, two witnesses or 30 guests it deserves to be special & just because you choose to have fewer guests doesn’t make your wedding any less significant.
I promise to enter you wedding with all the love, passion & enthusiasm I have.
AS WE ONLY HAD 15 GUESTS IT WAS BRILLIANT FOR LISA TO TO PART OF OUR CELEBRATION AND AS IT WAS SO INTIMATE IT’S GREAT THAT WE ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE HER!

This day is all about the two of you, so rather than following traditions do what makes you happy.
Taking inspiriation from my own intimate legal ceremony, here’s some ideas on how to make the most out of your day
GET READY TOGETHER
– you spend most mornings with each other getting ready, you have a routine that sets you up for the day, why not carry it through to your wedding day. Whether it’s at home or at the hotel you’ve always wanted to stay in, you get to be with each other, calming those nerves & helping each other get ready.
A FIRST LOOK
– if you still want that big reveal, we can orgainise a FIRST LOOK. You will get to see each before you walk down the aisle, a truely special moment that is just for the two of you.
VISIT YOUR FAVOURITE PLACES
– Your wedding day is a day celebrating your connection to each other & your relationship. Why not embrace that & visit the places that hold significance for you. Visit your favourite spots for some photos. It could be your favourite coffee shop, the spot of your first date or even your favourite pub.
(on my own wedding day we visited the photobooth where he proposed & sat for a photobooth strip to commerorate our wedding day)
FIRST DANCE
– just because you are eloping or having an intimate wedding doesn’t mean you have to miss out on some of the big moments. Find a quiet spot, put on your favourite song & have that dance, just the two of you.
