Asylum Chapel Wedding Photography
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a couple of Asylum Chapel Weddings. It is a beautiful space is Peckham that is perfect for a wedding ceremony. Mike & Sigourney got married at the Asylum Chapel last March just after the crazy snow storm. While most of the snow had vansihed, there was a definite chill in the air which made for a cosy wedding.
Sigourney got ready at their home with her mum & dad who had travelled from Australia for the celebrations. It was a lovely laid back morning, no rushing and no stress. The only real priority was making sure the cats had be fed before we left.
Despite a full guest list, their ceremony was intimate. Both Mike & Sigourney holding back tears and nervous giggles while proud parents watched on. Watching Sigourney’s dad beam proudly through the ceremony was a truly special moment.
After a beautiful shower of red rose petal confetti and some drinks, everyone hopped onto a classic red routemaster bus to head to Brunswick House for their reception. More champagne was poured and dinner was served. An impromtu singalong around the piano brought everyone together and got everyone up out of their seats. There were so many smiling faces and a lot of singing at the top of their lungs.
