London – Columbia Road

Oct 21, 2010 | columbia road, london, photography, spitalfields, tilt shift

I love London and I have a few favourite spots that I never tire of, so when I got my new camera I knew where I would go first…….Columbia Road.
Columbia Road is a little oasis of calm in the middle of the city. At the weekends it is a hive of activity, full or creativity and community. I enjoy photographing the area as it is so different to the London most people think of.  Hope you enjoy these photos!

  1. love these pictures – I’m lucky enough to live about five mins away from Columbia Road and love it to bits. You’ve inspired me to go down there, maybe on a saturday when it’s slightly quieter.

Did you use a tilt shift lens or is it post production?

  3. I drool over them in the Calumet catalogue every time it pops through my door but they are silly money.

I think I might try to get good with the lenses I have first 🙂

  6. Shella, lets catch up there. Its great on a Saturday and it is so empty and quite, a real contrast to the hectic Sundays of Columbia road.
There is a restaurant on Columbia Road that does the best pizza as well 🙂
