The Hold Steady Weekender 2026 There aren’t enoug The Hold Steady Weekender 2026
There aren’t enough words for this band, this community, and the incredible friends I’ve made through photographing them.
Every year, for one weekend, the outside world just… stops. Real life pauses and everything else fades into the background. These shows feel like one massive hug coming from every direction — familiar faces, shared songs, arms around shoulders, and thousands of voices singing the same words.
I get to watch and photograph my favourite band surrounded by friends, all while standing side by side with my favourite person doing what we love most. It’s loud, emotional, messy, joyful and perfect all at the same time.
I sing my heart out, tears are shed more than once, and I’m reminded again and again how lucky I am to be in this space. The love, the support, the sense of belonging — it’s something really special that’s hard to explain to anyone who hasn’t felt it.
This band created more than music. They created a place where people find each other, where friendships grow, where memories are made year after year.
There is so much joy!!!
And I’m endlessly grateful to be part of it.

The Hold Steady at The Electric Ballroom Growing The Hold Steady at The Electric Ballroom
Growing up, music was always the thing that made my world feel bigger. It was there for every mood, every moment — the soundtrack to late-night drives, bedroom dance parties, heartbreaks, celebrations, and everything in between.
Music has this incredible way of connecting people. A room full of strangers suddenly becomes a community when everyone is singing the same words. It puts language to feelings we don’t always know how to say out loud, and somehow reminds us that we’re not alone in them.
I’ve spent years standing in crowds like this — hands in the air — looking toward the stage and dreaming about the bands creating those moments. The energy, the lights, the joy of thousands of people feeling the same thing at the same time.
I’ve come away from gigs battered, bruised, and with no voice left — but feeling more put together and whole than when I walked in. I’ve held hands with my husband while we sang our hearts out to songs that have soundtracked our relationship.
I never imagined that one day I’d be the one capturing it.
Now I get to freeze those split seconds where music and emotion collide — when the chorus hits, the crowd erupts, and for a moment everyone is completely present together.
And honestly… I’ll never outgrow the magic of a band that throws a little extra confetti into the night.
If you are heading out to Camden this weekend to see @theholdsteady come say hi. I will be at the front taking pictures, singing my heart out and handing at confetti!!!.

Abney Park Chapel Wedding City air, soft light, a Abney Park Chapel Wedding
City air, soft light, and a love that feels entirely your own.
No grand performance—just the quiet confidence of choosing each other in this moment. A silk dress that moves with you, a veil catching the breeze, bold blooms in hand, and a future unfolding step by step.
Modern love isn’t loud. It’s intentional. It’s walking side by side, unhurried. It’s knowing the best part of the day is simply being together.
Here’s to rewriting tradition in your own way—effortless, intimate, and unmistakably you.

Clapton Country Club Wedding Dance floor There’s Clapton Country Club Wedding Dance floor
There’s something about a wedding dance floor — the music gets louder, the lights get softer, and somehow, no matter how big the room or how many people fill it, you will always find our way back to your people.
In a sea of distant conversations, you are searching for familiar hands, for shared laughter, for that knowing look that says there you are.
Weddings have a way of reminding us that connection is the real celebration. It’s not just the vows or the perfectly timed songs — it’s the quiet squeezes between lyrics, the smiles exchanged mid-spin, the way you instinctively lean closer when the music swells. It’s the comfort of arms wrapping around you without asking, the joy of being pulled into the moment without hesitation.
The best part isn’t even the song. It’s the way you hold onto each other when it comes on. The way you laugh a little louder, dance a little freer, and remember that in every season of life, you will always meet here — in the music, in the light, in each other.
