So here we are, this is my best of 2016 wedding photography. Well it is part one of my end of year round.
It’s been a crazy year. I shot weddings in various places including London, Mexico, Italy, Seville and Cornwall. Stoke Newington Town Hall has featured heavily in my year, which is great as I love photographing ceremonies there. I’ve spent a morning on a beach in Cornwall while Harriet, the bride to be, went for a very early and very cold morning swim before she went of to get married. I have been a part of some beautiful first looks, including one of the roof of a pub that overlooked the town where the couple fell in love. I’ve travelled to Seville to photograph two of my friends getting married. (I may have ended up in a swimming pool at the end of the night, drinking from a bottle of champagne and I promise you this was insisted upon and endorsed by Aleem one of the grooms) It has been a little wild, a little hectic and a lot of fun.
Looking back over these photo’s I remembered every couple, every wedding day, every moment I got to photograph. I remembered the tears I shed at the ceremonies, yes I am a hopeless romantic that cries at all the weddings I photograph. I remembered the laughter, the giggles, the stolen glances, the nerves, the excitement and support and love that surrounded every couple. I remember the speeches, the drinking games, the music and the dancing. Like every year, I find it hard to pick the images for these posts. It is difficult to pick just a few images from each wedding, to sum up each couples day in just a small selection of images. I have agonised over this selection because every image is important to me, I’ve wanted to make sure I did justice to each of my couples their special day. Each image has made my heart skip a beat, made me smile or laugh and sigh with happiness, reminded me of all the emotions of a wedding day.
I hope when you look through my best of 2016 London wedding photography, you can see the story of a wedding day unfold, so if you a ready, come on a little journey with me.

I want to write lovely…but not in a lame wimping out of commenting properly way…these are really really lovely. Romantic but not in a sickening way – they are cool. Stylish, modern but with a gorgeous timeless vibe and your compositions are a joy. You really are very good at this, Lisa. Pleasure to know you too x
Really beautiful work! You can feel the love in every photo, not just between the couple but resonating from you behind the camera. Love the way you capture emotion! Nx
These are stunning, Lisa, so artistic but still so full of emotion and personality (your couples’ and your own) and so, so beautiful. Truly incredible work. Utterly gorgeous.
Nope.. I can’t think of any other wedding photographer who is better than you at moment driven imagery. Such a pleasure to see you excel this year and I hope 2017 sees your well deserved rise continue. You rule.. end of xo
Beautiful Lisa. I love your creative compositions. You have such a unique and beautiful style to your work ❤️
My god these are just breath-taking, you are one in a million Lisa, I literally cannot get enough of your photos! And it’s not just the photos you took of our day – those are super-duper-extra-specially-indescribably special, but ALL your photos are out of this world and show so SO much love and emotion from everyone involved, yourself included! So pure & sincere and so talented, you are a truly special one… having you photograph our wedding was by far of the best decisions I have ever ever made ever (after saying Yes to Blair of course!) 😉 <3
THank you so much lovely. That honestly means the world to me.
Fantastic range of images filled with emotion, well done.
I stopped looking through wedding photography blogs in 2016. This post makes me want to start look again. Fantastic work Lisa!
I really love your point of view Lisa
Lovely editing, great review! Congrats!
You are just SO damned awesome Lisa. Every frame is incredible.
I can spot your pictures a mile off, they’re so unique and beautiful. I love your compositions and how honed in you are to the emotion and atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful.
