This image won Best Alternative Wedding Photo at the Photography Farm awards

It’s been an crazy year. A year of massive highs and lows but a year where I have produced some of my favourite and got to work with some amazing couples so when I got nominated for an award, I didn’t really think much of it. Roll on a couple of months later, I am sat round a table with some incredibly talented photographers, up against some stunning images and I am sure I know who is going to win (and before you say it I was sure it wouldn’t be me.)

Next on the screen pops my image…yes MY image.

To say I was shocked in a slight understatement. Utter disbelief is probably more accurate. I love what I do but as a creative I suffer from imposter syndrome, I never really enter awards so when my image popped up on the screen I really couldn’t believe it.

So here I am, winner of the BEST ALTERNATIVE WEDDING PHOTO and ever so grateful for the couples that book me, trust me to tell their story and allow me do what I do best, be creative.
