When we started planning our honeymoon in San Francisco, I knew we had to make a stop at City Light Books. Steeped in history and home to some of my favourite authors, I knew this was going to be a special place. To say I was excited, is an understatement and Alex can vouch for my constant talking about the books that had their roots firmly grounded in this shop.
Modern Wedding at The Roost, Hackney | Jess & Tom
Modern, Stylish wedding at The Roost | Ceremony at Hackney Town Hall followed by a reception, decorated by Harriet Parry Flowers, at The Roost with a Hermione de Paula wedding dress.
I have two – Liberty because of the building style. I just love walking up and down the wooden staircase, and the old lifts and the panelling and carving everywhere. And any Michaels craft shop where I find ‘bits’ – buttons, wool, pins, paper, beads and ‘stuff’ in general!
Great Idea Lisa… your honeymoon is gonna be the best.
Mine is a new favourite shop, But I plan to spend a LOT of time there!! It’s The powder room, vintage and make-up parlour, in Soho. My hen do will be there as well, Which you have an invite too of course 🙂
Love this idea! I absolutely LOVE Afflecks Palace in Manchester – I think you would too!
I love the Salvation Army charity shop near my work (John Street in Aberdeen), but I do miss this amazing antiques/reclamation place my ex’s mum used to take me to in Auldearn; if I could drive I would still be heading there all the time!
I love Irregular Choice on Carnaby Street – so many styles but not enough money *sigh*
