Ever since I photographed and elopement in Vegas, I have been dying to photograph a London elopement. When I got the email from Adrian and Tessa, I fell head over heals for these two. Adrian described their day as ‘Just me and Tessa pledging our love to each other’ and to me that is everything a wedding should be.
To be a part of an elopement is something pretty special. It’s a privilege to be one of a select few to witness two people declare their love for one another. Surrounded by books at the Highgate Literary and Scientific Society, these two exchanged personalised vows. Both Adrain and Tessa, struggled to read their vows through tears. It was so beautiful watching these two and everyone in the room was in tears by the end of their ceremony. Once the paperwork was signed I gave these two a few minutes to wipe away the tears and just be with each other before we headed out to do some portraits. There were lots of giggles and moments that made the portrait session so relaxed. These two were so relaxed and in the moment that rather than posing them, I got to document them, just they way they are.
I came away from the elopement, excited and happy, eager to edit the photos and share them with Adrian and Tessa.
I am putting this out into the universe, I would love to shoot more London elopements, or any elopement in any city for that matter.
This is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the bride’s style, what a gorgeous couple! Nx
